      • Is your product available outside the UK?

          Initially, we’ll sell in the UK. We hope to expand to North American in the coming years.

        • Is cultivated meat safe for pets?

            Yes! Our cultivated meat is made without any GMOs or antibiotics. There are no unwanted chemicals, bacteria, or other nasties in our meat. It’s just pure chicken, making it a healthy and nutritious source of proteins and nutrients for pets.

          • Is the product vegan?

              Many of our team are vegan and we consider the product to adhere to vegan ethics. We use one fertilised egg, just once, for our cells. No other animals are involved in our production, ever.

              By comparison, it’s estimated that 50 billion chickens every year are slaughtered for meat.

            • What are the risks of cultivated meat?

                We carefully control our production process and are constantly batch-testing our product. This means there are no risks in feeding cultivated meat to pets. It is pure, high-quality, GMO and antibiotic-free chicken.

              • Where do you get your cells from?

                  We purchased our egg from a well-known farm that supplies eggs for medical research. We chose them for their high welfare and safety standards and so that we have full traceability on our cells.

                • Is the product approved by regulators?

                    Yes – we have full approval from the UK authorities including the Food Standards Agency and the Department for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs to sell our product for use in pet food.

                  • Do you use FBS (Fetal Bovine Serum) or other animal products?

                      No, we never use FBS, animal serum, or any animal products in our production. Aside from the cells we took from one egg, once, we never involve animals in our production. Our aim is to create the most ethical, sustainable, and healthy food available.

                    • Do you use growth factors, micro-carriers, or scaffolds?

                        No, we don’t use any growth factors, micro-carriers, or scaffolds. All of our ingredients are already used and deemed safe for food production.

                      • Is cultivated meat better for pets than fermented and plant-based proteins?

                          Cultivated meat contains far more than just protein. It’s a blend of proteins, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and all the things that give meat it’s unique taste and smell.

                        • How are you funded?

                            Our largest investors are Agronomics, a leading UK investor in cultivated meat, and Pets at Home, the UK’s leading pet retailer. Alongside them we have other investment funds and passionate individuals who want to create truly healthy, sustainable, and ethical meat.
